Quote: “Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.” -Helen Keller
Definition: “having meaning through having an aim”
It’s not often we get to see the world the way it was meant to be seen. Only as children did we focus solely on what interested us the most. You couldn’t pry me away from my Lego building escapades if you tried!
What happened along the way? What crept up into adult life that made the world have to be so… real… so concrete… so defined and ready to drop on any glimpse of fantasy?
You are bombarded by reasons to not do the things you want to do. Every one of your senses soak in loads of reminders that living in your dream world will NOT pay your bills. You’ve been lead to believe, and accepted, that you are not capable of doing your all.
Forget that now. Forget the walls that stopped you before. You’re past that and have a new life to live. It’s time for you to improve your purposefulness. Time to get you back on track and doing what you are supposed to do.
Identify What You are Most Passionate About in Life
You’re home alone. All the chores are done. The bills are paid. You ate dinner and have since plopped down on the couch. You’ve got absolutely nothing planned for the rest of the evening. You don’t even have to work tomorrow.
What the heck do you do now?
When you are most free and don’t have a string to hold you down, what is it that tugs at your innermost desires? What are you pulled to do in times of greatest availability? Think about this for a bit.
