Start Believing In Yourself By Using These 3 Ideas Today

I’ve worked at a couple slow jobs before, where there’s plenty of work to do but you don’t really have a good understanding of the purpose involved, and sometimes this lack of purpose can really get you down. No scratch that. A lack of purpose turns you into a robot, where you don’t care about the outcome, you don’t care about the input, and you’re really only interested in working through the day.

Start Believing In Yourself By Using These 3 Ideas Today

A rock you can believe in. Um, that’s you. You’re the rock. And you can believe in yourself.

Sure, you do just enough and you do it just well enough to where you don’t get complaints. But if the job were to go away, other than the paycheck and a maybe a couple of cool people, you probably wouldn’t miss it that much. If you think that’s something that could be true for you, well you need to believe in yourself by finding out what you’re worth and then steamroll ahead. Your worth and your purpose is independent from everything else, you figure that out and the rest is easy.

1) Figure Out Why You’re Doubting

Are there certain things in your life that are making you doubt your worth, your purpose or your plan. If you can pinpoint actual people, events, habits or problems that are causing you to doubt yourself, then these are things you need to focus on first.

Create a list of these things and write two to three ways that you can help either make them weaker or make them go away. Once you tackling the biggest problems in your life, you’ll begin to feel that weight lifted off your shoulders. You’ll be able to see the worth in yourself coming out of the rubble that’s been built on top of it.

2) Fix What’s Contributing To The Doubt

As part of figuring out what’s causing the problem it’s going to be time to implement the plans that you’ve come up with. If this is a person or people that are causing trouble in your life, then you need to work that out. Maybe you talk to them first or maybe you just drop them altogether. Now you can’t do this for family, I understand that. But for friends or co-workers that are causing more trouble in your life, there’s something that can be done.

You can still work with them and be professional, but this means you don’t have to go hang out with them at the bar after, you don’t have to go to the company picnic with them and you don’t have to eat lunch with them anymore. If they are causing such trouble in your life, remove it. The same goes for habits and issues at your home. Figure out what’s the actual root of the problem and see how you can either make it less important or go away completely.

3) Get Help Over The Hump

Hey, if you’ve had these problems all your life or for a very long time you might not know exactly how to get rid of them or work with them. This is a very common thing for most people. That’s why people seek mentors, or psychologists, or counselors. It’s okay to get help with things. If it’s something you’re comfortable sharing you might be able to get help from your partner, your family, your friends or your co-workers.

If it’s not something you’re not comfortable sharing, then there’s plenty of help in online forums, chat rooms and message boards. And you can also seek professional face to face services that are available. The point isn’t that someone else will think less of you for going to do these things. The point is you’re putting in effort to prove to yourself that you are worthy and that you can fix these things.

I Think I Can, I Think I Can

You may not believe it now, but I want you to understand that you’re purpose in life is huge, and that you’re worth every breath that you take. You are infinitely awesome and once you figure out why you’re doubting, what’s contributing to that doubt, and how you can get over it, possibly with some help, you can start having a wonderful life. You can believe in yourself and start to live on purpose.
