What do you say when someone asks you, What are you thinking? or What’s on your mind? Now I used to be bugged by this question, especially, if you’re totally engrossed in something then someone just comes along and interrupts your path, and I’m wondering, Do you have that problem too? What is it about people wanting to know what’s going on inside that can kind of grate on your nerves? I don’t know whether it’s just an introvert thing because we all have our introverted preferences.

…Wow, that’s great driving lady. Sorry for the interruption. Oh look license plate, that’s great, good…
It just seems like someone coming in..dipping into your private life is some type of violation and maybe that gets people, “off the cuff” or something. I don’t know but I’ve gotten to the point where it’s like, You really want to know what I’m thinking, I’m going to tell you and chances are it’s going to surprise you, confuse you and maybe even bore you. Because I’m really interested in what’s going on in my head and chances are you aren’t.
So, try that yourself. The next time that one person or two people that tend to really try to get in your head and they ask you, What are you thinking? Tell them. Now, you gotta be safe, like if it’s your wife or something you don’t want to go tell them that you’re thinking about how those pants made her look fat because she’s not, she’s a beautiful human being and she loves you.
But be careful and share, share what you’re thinking, be on the same page and you don’t need to guard anything.
Boy, I’m just having a hard time driving home today, What is going on? Interrupting my train of thought several times but that’s OK, even cars in traffic can interrupt my train of thought and if they asked me what I was thinking I would tell them, I’m thinking MOO!
Share your thoughts. Have fun ya’ll. Don’t take life too seriously, let people in a little bit. It’s OK.
