How would you know how to talk very slowly and broken up. No really, how could you admit to needing to learn something? What, right this very instant, is the number one thing that you know you need to learn about, or learn how to do, or learn how to live with that you just won’t admit to? At least not publicly. Sure it’s probably planted way down deep, here or there, but put on the spot, you probably wouldn’t mention it. That right there, my friends, is what you probably need to put a lot more focus on.

I know it’s difficult, and maybe it doesn’t make much sense when it’s said this way, but until we focus on the things that are scary, that maybe hurt a little bit to do, the things that stretch our abilities, our beliefs, and our capabilities, we’re going to stay right where we’re at. I know the exercise and the muscle building example or analogy is used probably a little bit too often.
But man if you’ve ever worked out, gotten great results, and it felt good like actually, you know, sleeping or on a sandy beach enjoying some wonderful time sipping on a cool drink with the waves crashing and the seagulls waa, waa, you weren’t working out hard enough and you’re a liar because it hurts and that’s what they say.
There is stretching and pain associated with growth. It’s just the way it is. What’s that one thing that you need to learn? What’s that one thing that you don’t have to admit to, but you can work on? Even secretly. Once you got that down, I’d challenge you to think of the one step you need to take right now to get started on it and see where you’re at, in seven days.
And when you’re there, and you have some progress, make that your weekly checkup. Some weeks are going to be zero percent. Some weeks are going to be one. Some weeks are going to be a little bit more. Any week above zero is growth, no matter how small.
Learn it. Grow. There’s so much more to go. One percent every day for a whole year. Fifty two percent improvement, that is significant. Have a good one. Learn on my friends, learn on.
