Another edition of the series that helps you get through your inbox faster. You got a business? You got a service? You got a following? You got a blog? You got YouTube viewers? You got anybody that knows you on the internet, which is increasingly more difficult nowadays. Then you probably, every once in awhile, maybe hopefully, get a praise or a testimonial whatnot. And it’s a beautiful thing. Aw man, I swear, some of the days that’s the only reason I even check my email because it’s great. It’s great to hear how you help people out there in the world.

But, don’t just let that go to waste, and don’t let it go to your head. Those are the two things that you need to think about when you come across a praise or testimonial email. Number one is, stay humble. Reply back. Say thank you. Maybe ask how do you think you could do better in the future. Because someone that is willing to praise, and give you good feedback, is probably willing to help out a little bit more on feedback and information.
So go for that. Say your thank you’s. Get a little bit more if you can, and help people out. But also remember this, if it’s really good and you think you could use it for your store house of testimonials which is awesome for CV’s, or resumes, or testimonial pages, just basically business validation, and copy for your sales pages, then reply back and say hey this is really great. I’m glad I could help out. Do you think or would it be okay if I use this in promotional copy or as a testimonial in things for the future? And you don’t really have a name for it yet, but that you could possibly in the future.
And most of the time, ninety percent of the time, you’re gonna get a yeah sure, that’s no problem. Save that email. Keep this gigantic file of awesome stuff that people have said about you, your business, your efforts. And you have this store house of awesome proof and validation for the things that you do; which are going to help you on the low days when you need that little extra kick of motivation, and confidence, and reassurance. But it will also help you sell your services, your products, to other people out there that maybe just don’t trust enough.
When they see this validation, the social proof, especially if you got a lot of it, it becomes a whole lot easier to realize that, you know what this person probably is worth the effort. So let me give them a shot. Handle those testimonial praise emails with a little bit of strategy and a lot of appreciation and you’ll be alright. You’ll be well on your way to inbox zero and a store house of awesome stuff about what you do in the world. Alright, good luck and peace out.
