How to get Quick Help with a Research Paper or Anything That Requires a Little Bit of Extra Work That You Just Don’t Have Time For. Now, I know these services didn’t really exist in a nice form back when I was in college or doing any type of papers, but I guess this applies for work too. But if you know you need really, really detailed research and you’re busy doing other things, especially if this is school and you work and you have kids and you’re juggling everything left and right, or this is just a business venture and you just don’t have time to do it.

This is one of those 80-20 things. This is one of the 80% that doesn’t have a great impact on your business but needs to get done: you should seriously, seriously consider using an outsourcing website like oDesk or Elance, which are combining, or I would say Fiver, but be careful with that – but any of the outsourcing websites that are currently popular, because who knows what it might be next year when you might be watching this, to straight up do the first bit of research. If you use Fiver, you’re probably going to get someone that just did a quick google search and gave you the first couple of links, which might not be helpful.
But it’s a matter of being very clear about what you’re looking for and then just iterating as you go along. I know oDesk on some of the information I’ve seen – excuse me, I use Elance quite often, and I’m not sure when they’re doing their transition, so this video is a little mixed up. But when you specifically say that you expect X type of research to be done with X type of results, you’re going to get that. If you don’t, you just reject it. You don’t pay for something that you don’t want.
But if you’re completely and absolutely clear about the amount of research and how it ties to what you’re going to do, you can pay someone under $50, probably even $20 to $25 depending on how much you’re looking for, to get a good amount of research and groundwork laid out for whatever you’re going to do. It can be as simple as go to Elance.com, go to New Job and type in, “I need research that would help me figure out how to do X, X, Y, Z and step 1, 2, 3 for this business history paper that I’m doing and I’m envisioning it being a one and a half page outline with five main sections and three to five main points under each section.”
You can be that specific, and if this is going to take someone somewhere between an hour and two hours, then aim somewhere between $15 and $25 for a relatively-not-too-detailed or skill-requiring task such as research and for $15 to $30, just say less than $50, you can have your research done for you while you’re off doing other things.
It’s a beautiful thing. It’s something that you don’t need to be focused on if you don’t really want to, or don’t have the time to, for a few bucks. Consider that. Don’t think about all of the things that you need to do. Think about all of the things that you most need to focus on with the skillset that you have, and then see how you can delegate the rest. Think about it, give it a shot, it’s a couple of bucks. You may open up your mind to possibilities that you didn’t know were available.
