If you’re a southern boy like me then you’ll understand that feet, when it gets cold, get a little cracked and funky. Especially if you’re a guy and – well, if you’re just a guy – and you don’t pay too much attention to your feet, they can get a little funky, and so can hands. But hands are easy. You put lotion on them. Maybe a glove. You go to sleep, you’re done. Well, I’d like to tell you that maybe the exact same solution is applicable to your toesies too.

If you grab one of those nitrile-like gloves, especially if you’re allergic to latex, at Walmart you can buy yourself a 50 pack count of nitrile gloves, and some of them are purple, which is kind of pretty. You’re at home and no one’s going to see, so it’s okay.
But if you grab one of those gloves, a large size, and put some lotion in the glove and on your foot, and then put the glove on your foot and put your toes in each finger of the glove. You will quickly find out that with some careful stretching it fits just fine and you will have a nicely lotioned up and gloved foot.
You can make it too tight where it will hurt a little bit, but your toes will tell you and your foot will hurt, so you have to adjust a little bit and that’s okay. But if you just go to sleep like that, wake up in the morning, take it off, take a shower and wipe it all off, not only will you have the nicest, softest, nicest, un-cracked wonderful-feeling feet, toes, heels – everything.
You will realize that no, you don’t have to deal with cracked, ugly, funky toes any more and your loved ones just might start paying more attention to them. It is now safe to wear sandals, crocs and anything without socks in public again. The smell you’ll have to deal with on your own, but the cracks are gone.
