Or website, or whatever, Youtube channel. Unless you’re real big in the social scene and have millions and millions of friends or you’re some type of genius that has skirted all of Google’s attempts to thwart link building and such manipulation of results, your only major bet in getting traffic to your blog is to strategically produce content that people want to consume. I know that sounds pretty generic and you’ve probably heard it a million times, right?
Well, you’re going to have to take care of creating the content that is valuable to your audience. I don’t know who they are but I guarantee if you tell them why they should be interested, what they should be interested about, how to achieve that result and one thing they can do right now today, those four-pronged approaches to every piece of content you make will, after time, bring in the crowd that appreciates the work you put into it and the value that you’re supplying.

Now, that will translate to more traffic to your blog over time. But think of it this way. If you go and you find a longtail keyword that you can garner from the autocomplete feature of Google’s search field or you start typing a term and you see what pops up as a suggestion, those can be blog post titles or maybe mixed up a little bit or at least subjects you can talk about.
By having those things popped up, that means somebody has searched for it before. You can check UberSuggest, Google that so you can find the exact address. they’ll provide you longtail keywords that you can work into content that you can provide.
By taking this approach of working for not often used or low competition, extremely specific keywords that are related to what you’re interested in and using them in an actual fashion to provide the valuable information that you have to people, that combination after time will bring in the traffic. If you do ten posts this month and they get ten views per month, congratulations, you have 100 views per month.
You repeat that ten more months and now you have 1,000 views per month. That’s 12,000 views per year. Is that enough? If not, rinse and repeat. Keep multiplying, growing. The more you put into it, the more tentacles you have out there to reach in and grab new friends and bring them over to your website.
It is a long term game but it’s one where you can’t be easily thwarted. It’s one where you prove your authority and it’s one where you become intimately more familiar with your audience and the service or business or topic that you’re talking about. There’s no quick way to do it because, well, there’s no legitimate, good, long term, quick way to do it. Buying traffic, buying links, doing any of that black hat or grey hat stuff will eventually get caught and it’s not a long term game.
Stay on the long term, folks. Produce consistently, efficiently, effectively and in a targeted fashion. That’s all you have to do. It sounds simple but it’s not easy. It takes work but it’s a labor of love. Invest in it. Do it. You’ll see the traffic come in. Mark the day that you start this new plan to produce content in a consistent manner and see how your Google analytics chart just keeps going up and up and up.
