Ah, the age old question: complexity, internal meaning, self-worth, purpose. All of these things that make up the infinite, or almost infinite, because you’re not God, you. The unique, creative, awesome you.
You cannot fully understand yourself while you’re on this planet and who’s to say how full of an understanding you’ll have at your next step? But there are certain steps you can do along the way.

I know a lot of the professional work and whatever hobbies and everything, education, even religious understanding, or faith understanding, prior to looking into what it is to be me felt just kind of empty and kind of like “Eh, okay, this is cool. I guess I can use it.”
But it was when I could start applying all of that to me, to my personal nature, to this thing, this mind, body and soul, and heart, and being that is me, it wasn’t until then that it started making sense. How can you do that?
Well, I’m pretty sure you’ve done some of these online quizzes for personality or mood or what kind of cartoon character you are and while some of that can be useful, you really have to find the right test and use the results to figure out what you need to about yourself.
For instance, on my website I have a couple of personality tests, motivation tests, strength and weaknesses tests and career matching-type tests, small talking-type tests, all of these things that will help you understand deep down what’s really going on inside.
Stuff you already know but maybe don’t have the words to describe and sometimes having those words out in front of your face right there, to where you can go “Yeah, that’s a good, accurate description of me.” It solidifies that feeling that you have and that can be the difference between you just not knowing and feel wishy-washy and you being concrete and understanding of what’s really going on inside the good ‘ol you.
So there are very much more expensive, regimented courses and seminars like the MBTI┢ or the Big Five, strengthsfinder test, these kinds of things that you can go spend a couple of bucks on, or sometimes quite a few bucks, and get that information, or you can take the test I have available on my website, RichardStep.com.
There are free versions and there are more details, a full version for a comparatively low price and well, guess what? You’ll have a much better understanding.
It’s not so much looking at the results and saying “Oh, well this has nothing to do with me, this is stupid.” It’s seeing what the test results are telling you about what you already know and how that’s applicable to your life. Look at it from the perspective of “How can I use this information to understand myself better and who I really am?” as opposed to judging the methods of getting there and you’ll be one step closer.
You plant that seed inside, let it grow, nurture it and then follow that path. I think you’ll be well on your way to understanding a little bit more about yourself and then it’s just an upwards step and growth path from there.
Thanks for watching, good luck.
