01) Describe (in your own words) what you think ‘teamwork’ means.
It means to work with a group of people to accomplish a united goal. It means to be successful. It means to do a job well done and to learn from it and keep on doing the best on can do in their career.
02) Think about a person you feel needs team-building training. How do you think this training would help him/her?
Team building training helps a person not be so singular in their thinking and analysis of things. It helps them learn to connect with others and also it leads to self-esteem building when ideas are exchanged and approval is giving.
03) How do you think teamwork could help a company or business?
It always helps a business when people can work together to make a company successful. There are emotional and financial benefits one can experience when they are flexible and humble in working within a group.
04) Describe a teamwork / team-building exercise or event you’ve been through at your work, school, or during training.
I have attended a one day seminar with a counselor with my HR team in the past. It was encouraging and informative. It made me look at some of my flaws and see how I could improve. It helped me to more patient with me co workers and see them for some of things that they excel in.
05) Explain at least 1 thing you’ve learned from a team-building exercise and how it has helped you.
I learned to be okay with asking for help. I learned that asking questions was fine to do if ever I was unsure about a work place situation. Being humble can help me to excel along with my team, department and entire company.
06) Think back to a team-building exercise you did NOT enjoy. What do you feel could have been improved and why?
I don’t like repetitiveness or redundancy. It’s assumed sometimes that a learning curve for a team is pretty low. I have a tendency to catch onto things quickly, so I hate when things drag on.
07) Describe what you like most about team-building efforts and training.
I like the camaraderie in team building. I like accomplishing goals and receiving praise when things are done exceptionally well. I love sharing that praise with others on my team so we can have something we feel proud about.
08) What are a few things you like least about team-building efforts and why?
I don’t like dealing with those who can focus and those who are easily distracted. Sometimes the time it take to accomplish a goal can be discouraging. I don’t like dealing with negativity of some display that quality.
09) When learning about team-building, would you rather read about it, listen to a trainer, watch training videos, or physically participate in an event? Describe why you feel that way.
I like to read, listen, watch and participate in team building exercises. It helps me to learn new techniques, it indelibly makes a long lasting impression with me and it also enables to me to be able to train and share with others, especially those unfamiliar with the concept.
10) Pretend you are asked to give a quick team-building presentation at work. What are your first couple of steps to get prepared?
Step one would be to meet with my group and get to know those I am unfamiliar with. Step two would be to outline the objectives we want to present in the presentation.
11) In your opinion, what type or personality of person do you think could benefit most from team-building efforts?
Any type of personality can benefit from team building efforts. An entry level employee all the way to an executive level employee can be enhanced with working with a group for the greater good of a company. Team building is a transferable skill that can help a person in every aspect of their life.
