[This is Part # 16 of a 20 Part Series to Improve Your Strengths] — Take the Strengths TEST
Quote: “Some are destined to succeed, some are determined to succeed.” -H. H. Swami Tejomayananda Definition: “the act of making up your mind about something”
There are those folks out there that seem to have things all figured out. No – it’s almost like they have had all things figured out for them. As if they’ve been handed the answers on a platter. Is it the case? Who knows? Do we secretly envy them? Maybe. Can we do something about it? Absolutely!
We can either set out each day with our minds and eyes on the floor or we can keep our heads up high. Keeping our eyes on the prize that we’re determined to achieve. Every second you’re taking a breath is another step toward whatever you have in mind. Make absolutely sure you have the right thing in mind.
Determine to improve this strength. Determine to stay on your goal’s path. Determine to float over the bumps in the way. Determine to stay, play, and say, “I got this!”
Be Determined and Passionate About Your Main Goals
I’ll say it now and I’ll say it again… if the light isn’t focused on a target through the right lens, then it won’t do anything useful to anything that will help you succeed. You are full of energy, ideas, power, and unrealized determination. Your power HAS to be channeled before it can be used properly.
EXERCISE: I don’t care what they are – scrap your 3 lowest priority goals or subtasks right now. Replace them with a subtask of your main, biggest, most pressing, important goal right now. Do what you would do if you had 3 weeks to live.
I hate to be rough and blunt but it’s a plain and simple case of “Go big or go home.” You don’t have enough life left for the small stuff – make it big, make it work, make it go. It’s YOUR show!
