These are the days when you need to instantly build your self-confidence to give you the drive to keep on going. To give you the motivation and build your inner foundation to achieve. Keep these four easy ways in mind the next time you need a boost.
Number One – Tackle Some Small Wins
Being the awesomely productive person that you are I know you have a to do list somewhere and chances are there are big things on it and there are small things on it. I want you to take some of those small things, break them down into even smaller things that can be done in 5 to 10 minutes and are super easy wins.
The next time you need an instant boost, tackle one or two or three of these super easy wins and that will get your mind racing at how awesome it is to get things done. And you can be motivated by that itty bitty accomplishment.
Number Two – Talk To Those Who Count On You
You have coworkers, you have family and you have friends that all have come to rely on you for the skills and knowledge that you have. Talk to these people. Help them to help you remember and to be reassured of the value you have overall and in specific tasks.
You are worth an infinite amount to many people but being reminded of the specific ways is also very helpful for motivation.
Number Three – Look At Some Previous Wins
You’ve been tackling those mini goals right? That’s awesome. Hopefully you’ve been recording it too. Look back at those little mini wins and relive the feeling you get when you accomplish them. Relive that excitement and regain the feeling you had when you were able to get those things done super quickly. Reassure yourself of your power and knowledge. Your capabilities are at hand when you keep focused on the wins and what you can get done.
Number Four – Set Yourself Up For Success
Don’t make goals you know you can’t achieve. Don’t continually put impossible tasks in front of you. Take the things that you know are difficult to do – break them down into things that you can either outsource, or do in more manageable chunks and then tackle them at that level.
Make the things that are in front of you more easy to do. They’re still going to require work but if you set yourself up for success instead of failure then this whole picture fits perfectly into your motivational journey to get things done.
