Overcoming The Fear Of Failure
To you, what are some of the biggest benefits usually associated with this topic?
To overcome the fear of failure, you have to fail. To convince yourself that THIS is worth the risk you must remind yourself that to not try something is the greatest failure of them all. Once you have tried something and seen that it is not so bad, you will be able to try more and more things. Eventually, yes, you will fail. And in failing, you will succeed in realizing that failure is not the end, but the beginning. Failure is simply one way that didn’t work, it is not the ONLY way to do something. In fact, a drastically different idea from your original plan that failed may be the answer to what you have been seeking all along. But, you must first fail to overcome the fear of the thing itself.

I believe you overcome the fear of failure by just doing whatever you are afraid of while you are still afraid. Although ‘Do it Now’ is a phrase that pertains to overcoming procrastination, I think that this phrase is most helpful in overcoming the fear failure. I have a friend who overcomes obstacles by just going a little bit further even when she hits setbacks. I admire that, don’t let bumps in the road get you down, you can go ahead and conquer anything. If you don’t get it just right the first time, then try, try again. You are closer to your goal than if you don’t try at all. I think that anyone who won’t succumb to defeat but, keeps trying is to be admired by others and finally themselves. Keep on keeping on and while you do, keep your head up high. The prize is already yours. Stay positive throughout!
