To earn trust with potential customers you must be a very good active listener. You need to ask them questions pertaining what they are talking about, and just be quiet and listen at times. It is good to give the customers good input for them to trust you more as well.
If one has problems with a business and the business addresses it in a swift and fair manor that helps build trust. I also prefer to do business with English speaking people, clear and understandable English. For me personally if i call a company with a concern or I need assistance it is really annoying to have to work to understand the person i am speaking to. Recently I had problems setting up my cell phone. I called customer support and the person on the other line was from another country. He had a hard time understanding me and me him. It took much longer and a lot more effort since we were unable to understand one another. It was not a pleasant experience at all. I don’t trust company’s that can’t hire people who speak English.
Earning trust is essential to stay competitive in today’s business world. With multiple options customers have it is no longer a barrier for them to leave if they do not trust the people they are doing business with. Look at the auto insurance; We use to have to spend all day meeting with an agent, filling out long paper forms. With internet access virtually everywhere in developed nations, a person can get multiple quotes in a matter of minutes.

Earning Trust With Potential Customers
Give a quick overview of what you think is the most important benefit of this whole subject.
So much of business is based on trust. In order for a business deal to be successful, both sides need to feel satisfied. When a client trusts you, they feel that you have their best interests at heart too and will do business even if they are unsure. Trust leads to repeat customers. When clients are rushed or unsure, they will turn to a vendor they trust. Clients will also recommend someone they trust to other potential clients.
This is very interesting stuff here and I think it could help people. What do you feel is the most life-altering thing about the topic?
Trust from one person requires honesty from the other person. People lie all the time to get a sale, but that does not create trust. Trust is developed when a business is honest, even at times to their own hurt. It may cost money in the short run to re-do a project for a customer, but in the long run you earn their trust and respect and that pays dividends in the future.
Improving those around us is a key concept in life-optimization – how does this topic fit in?
To earn trust, you have to always be acting in a trustworthy and respectable manner. This means that you are always trying to be someone worthy of that trust, so you are always working hard to become a better person. This will help you go far in a variety of categories.
Please, share with us what would make this topic more prevalent in your life?
The first thing a person should do is to find out how those that have been successful with this topic have done it. Either by asking them or observing them, or even reading about them. Another thing a person can do is to put themselves in the customer’s shoes, and ask themselves the same question. Finally, I would ask this question to potential customers. Just be upfront, tell them you want to earn their trust, and ask them what it will take to do that.
If someone wanted to learn more about this, what could they do?
Do what you say you are going to do .If you tell your customer that the merchandise that they have ordered will be sent at a certain time then do it. Always make sure they are happy with the service you have given them. The customers are the ones that will make or break the company.
What type of person really needs a big boost of help regarding this topic?
It might be best to contact those people who work in trades where trust is essential and hard to come by. People like defense attorneys, doctors and psychiatrist would all fit into this category both because they need their client to be honest with them even though the information needed is sensitive and potentially illegal. Additionally, the clients of such people might be worth investigating to see if what the professionals did with the intent to earn their clients’ trust actually was perceived as a useful trust-building action by the person on the receiving end of it.
Give us some hints and tips on this subject, please.
I believe it is absolutely important to earn trust with potential customers. If a customer does not feel they can trust a person and/or a company, then I see no reason why that customer would choose and/or continue to do business with them. I think any customer would need that feeling of trust, at least especially on a more expensive purchase, or contract, the higher the stakes, the more a customer needs to feel they are in good and safe hands. Trust is critical in any relationship, business and personal.
This topic has many sides… what are some sides folks out there should avoid?
Lying is typically the first thing you should avoid when trying to earn someone’s trust. Another important thing to avoid is treating someone like you’re just trying to get their business. In my experience, you want the customer to recognize that you are genuinely interested in their well-being rather than just trying to get their money. When they know you care, they will trust you more.
How could you use this to succeed?
The best way to earn the trust of customers is to provide credible information to them. If you’ve given them credible advice in the past, they are more likely to trust you in the future. It’s especially important to take a long-term view. If you advise them that buying your product or service is not appropriate for them, or if you direct them to a product or service that is less expensive, they will remember this in the future and trust you.
How would you recommend people get started on this topic?
I believe that earning trust with potential customers is highly useful and a great tool for a seller. Showing that you are knowledgeable and can provide a service or product that will personally benefit the customer is key. However, if you also find ways to relate to the customer beyond the sale you also gain trust. My husband makes sales in lawn treatments. Talking about a person’s dog is just as important as talking about a person’s fertilizer requirements. If a customer can relate to you as a human being beyond just a sales representative, AND you provide a service he or she could benefit from then I really believe that you’ve earned not only their trust, but their sale.
