Sometimes we get in the bad habit of paying attention to the negative things in life. We can take all of our accomplishments to date for granted. We’ve come a long way in the things that we’ve done to get where we’re at [to] go unappreciated, by ourselves and sometimes those around us.
Usually we’re the most hard on ourselves and it really is detrimental to your life and happiness. If you’re tired of being unhappy, I’ve got three tips here that will set you on the right track.
1) How Do You Fit Into The Financial Picture?
This isn’t some big comparison game between the have and the have-nots, but this is to put your mind straight and get you in order with what you’re at in the financial chain of things. Are you living on the street? Are you in a country where it’s hard to get clean water? Do you have a job? Do you have some type of steady paycheck that you can count on?
Really think about what it is that you have and compare that to what other people don’t have when it comes to a regular stream of income that you can count on. I’m not saying count your blessings, but I am saying don’t take the progress that you’ve made in your career and monetary advancement for granted.
2) How Do You Fit In The Family Picture?
Were you born in a family that loved you and took care of you? Even if you weren’t, weren’t you given the opportunity to live? It saddens me, but there are a ton of babies that aren’t given the chance to even see what their first birthday looks like.
They don’t get that first bit of candy. They don’t get to say mommy and daddy. You did. You got the chance to grow up. Complete or broken families or nothing at all, you’re here today and that’s better off than it could have been. Pay attention to what you have, you’ve been completely and truly blessed.
3) How Do You Fit In The Fate Picture?
Do you believe in a higher power? Have you come to realize the importance of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in your life? I’m not trying to convert you here. I’m trying to set your foundation straight. If you have come so far to where even the worst days in the world don’t get you down because you know that the lord has got your back, oh, man, you just don’t know how far along you are.
There are so many people out there that are lost and confused, and are looking only for ways to justify their existence, not knowing that they’re here because they’re loved by the creator above. That’s all there is to it. Figure out how far along you are and know that your happiness rooted in your faith is a lot more than a lot of people have and you should be thankful for that.
No More Wrecking – Just Flexing
Take a real good look at where you’re at now because chances are your financials, your family and your faith are a gigantic influence in your life. You’ve come a long way and no matter how far along you are or think you are, you have a lot more that you should be thankful for that you might not just be thinking about yet. Take heed. You’ve been blessed. Live your life appropriately.
