Unhappiness is all over the place. I don’t quite understand it because there are so many wonderful things to be thankful and happy about in our lives. Chances are you’re doing okay in overall survivability if you’re able to read this or listen to this, whichever format you’re choosing to digest this in.
Chances are you’ve got decent health, at least some people around you that love you, and goals in life. Sure, you may not be a millionaire and on your own little island in the middle of some tropical paradise. But do you really need that to be happy?
You’ll find out that most unhappiness boils down to main chunks of important things in your life. I want you to start noticing these categories and these patterns of what makes you the most happy in life and then use tools to keep aligning with those happiness categories.
Here are three reasons you’re unhappy right this second and what you can do about it.
1. You Feel Like You’re Losing Your Purpose
We all have rough days of being down in the dumps and it feels like nothing is going our way. Sometimes it feels like everything that we do just leads to a dead end and provides no value to anyone.
But that’s a bunch of junk. Everything that you do that has a good intention in it is guaranteed to help someone out for the better at some point in time in the future. Don’t attach yourself to the output and the results that you get. Just know that if you’re alive with doing stuff that’s positive and useful, it’s going to help someone down the line.
There’s no telling if it’s tomorrow, a week later, months later, or years later. Just keep chugging. You’re here for a purpose. But that doesn’t mean that you have to know exactly why everything you do is important.
2. You Feel Like You’re Losing Your Love
Being alone, being angry and being upset can be tough sometimes. We are beings of love. We are beings created out of love and for love. So naturally, when it feels like love in our life is missing, we feel like less complete beings. And we need to stop that. No matter what we do, someone loves us. Whether that’s family, friends or, doggone it, ourselves, someone loves us.
And if you don’t have a true belief and faith in God now, there’s no time like the present to start. You were created as a being of love, to love and give love throughout your entire life. No matter what you do and how you feel, He always loves you and wants the best for you, no matter what.
3. Feel Like You’re Losing Control
Are you micromanaged at work? Are you under mounds and mounds of bills? Or do you feel like nothing you do seems to add any benefit to your life? If any of these are true, then I completely understand how you feel like you have no control over the things that happen in your life.
It could almost feel like a prison sometimes when you don’t have enough things going the way that you want them to. Know this. The only thing that you’re ever going to be able to control in your life is your emotions, your thoughts and what you do with them. Everything else is outside of your control.
This isn’t meant to depress you or to make your situation worse. This is to refocus and reframe what you do to the actuality of human existence. If you can’t control anything but what’s inside of you, then nothing else can get to you. Know that you form yourself from the inside and project that awesomeness outside.
If you project that awesomeness in your best way possible, eventually, your environment will change to meet your internal existence. Wishy-washy? I know. But you have to try it. And I think you’ll be surprised at the results you achieve.
You Can Take Back Control And Be Happy Now
The three reasons we just went through are the main reasons why anyone is unhappy at any given moment. People feel like they’re losing purpose, love and control in their lives, and it can really take a toll on their overall moral and motivation. Blast those lies right out of your existence.
Know that you’re loved, that everything you do has a purpose, and that you really control what happens on the inside. Reform the way you live your life and regain control of all of what you were meant to do while you’re here.
