Do you sometimes find yourself being lost, without that burning passion to accomplish things in your life? Whether this is the itty bitty to-dos that need to get done on a daily basis or the lifelong goals that you see yourself having in a decade or two.
All of these things require a level of motivation that is tied to your happiness and what you get done in life. When you understand your drive and own it, then you can be as motivated as you want to be and happiness is sure to follow. The question you need to understand is: What motivates me to do? But it’s got three parts. Let’s jump into that.
1) What Motivates Me To Do At Work?
You are not completely motivated by your paycheck. Chances are it has something to do with teamwork or maybe even autonomy or recognition from your peers. There are nine overreaching motivators that have a very direct impact on your productivity at work. If you don’t know these, you are not working to your ultimate levels. There are articles and tests to help you out with discovering these motivators, and once you do, it is time to use them to more efficient in everything that you do at work.
2) What Motivates Me To Do At Home?
I would say the same thing applies for home, but sometimes a test and strict guidelines just doesn’t seem to fit at home where love and growth seem to be the ultimate factors. So figure that out for your home life. Is what motivates you to grow seeing your kids grow up to be independent and powerful champions of goodness in the world?
Is what motivates you to go at home seeing your partner and spouse be as strong, dedicated, and loving as they can with your support? Figure out your top two or three growth motivators at home and see how you can incorporate that into everything that you do everywhere else.
3) What Motivates Me To Do For The Future?
Do you know where you want to be at in a couple of decades? Do you know what your finances are going to look like, what your job looks like, or even where your house is going to be? All of these tie together into your overall goal pattern and plan. But until you focus a little bit extra effort on what goals you see in mind, you won’t really know which way to go.
If you don’t know which vacation destination you’re aiming for, any old place is just as fine as another. Get your goals and destination in mind for your work, your family, your money, your retirement, and all these other gigantic things in your life, and do every little step you need to get there, one day at a time.
Clear The Path and Getty-Up!
The one question that determines your ultimate path to clear happiness is: What motivates you to do? When you ask this question about your work, your home, and what you see for the future, you’ll have a much better understanding of where you need to be and what you can do to get there.
