I’ve taken plenty of personality tests before that, well, may have provided some interesting information at the time. Well, I’ve got to say it didn’t really stick because I had no idea what personality type I was or the results I got the very next day. Not even to mention weeks or months later.
That’s one of the reasons the birds were used for the DOPE Bird Personality Test. The three main reasons this is true and I’d like to talk about in this article today is because it is: number one ‘Memorable’, number two ‘Fun’, and number three ‘Easy To Tie to the Details.’ Let’s dive right into those reasons.
Reasons to Use Birds for the DOPE Bird Personality Test
1) Memorable
The birds in the test are dove, owl, peacock, and eagle. These are birds that just about everyone should be familiar with especially if you’ve ever watched National Geographic or any type of nature show, been to a museum or zoo, or anything similar.
They’re very common birds, and they’ve very distinct personalities too. We’ll get to the details in that a little bit later but basically they’re very popular known and familiar birds to just about everyone that’s of age, so to speak. 2) It’s Just Plain Fun
It’s neat seeing that your personality can be like these birds that are out there and have certain characteristics that are very human like. It’s neat because some are smart, some are more peaceful, some just wanna have more fun, and some just get stuff done.
And it seems interesting how you relate to nature that’s really keen and fun in a ‘self discovery’ way of thinking.
3) Very Easy to Tie to the Details
Owls, as you could probably guess are the stereotypical smart or very watchful “up late at night doing things because they’re not tired” type of bird. So, the personality is the same thing. The eagles are the aggressive, the always looking around for things to do, very business-like bird that’s the same personality type that’s described there.
Then you’ve got the doves that are very peaceful. And these are again the stereotypical definitions that we usually tie to these very familiar birds. And the dove is the sign of peace, tranquility, happiness, and support.
Then you also have the peacock which is very showy (at least the male version anyway), very showy, very colorful, and even when they’re ruffled up they get even more showy and you know, six times of their body size and well, that’s the personality type for the peacock too.
By getting a better understanding of the birds used in the test, they become anchors or symbols that help you remember your own personal growth information. This is a great thing, especially when we are bombarded with information overload these days.
