If you’ve ever gone into a dark room without a flashlight, you’re reminded very quickly that you had no idea that stool was that close to your toe. And it’s an awareness thing. You’re not really sure of what’s in the room, what you need to avoid, and what you can use to help you to get to the other side. In this case, you probably want a flashlight.
In your life, you probably want your strengths and weaknesses. And the three main points here are, you need to use the right tools for the right job, you’ve got to figure out what’s holding you back, and you’ve got to become what you want to be. So let’s tackle those one at a time.
Use The Right Tools For The Right Job
Let’s say for instance that you’re a door-to-door salesman. I’m not sure if these people still exist, but I do get some people selling me peanut brittle every once in a while so I have to assume there’s some form of it out there somewhere. Not that it’s the best method, but it might still happen. In order to do that, you have to have some form of strategy and ability to talk to people in a effective salesperson manner.
And if you don’t have some of this sales experience or communication experience to work off of, you’re not going to convince anyone to, number one, even listen to you or open the door, or not just say, “Go away kid, you bother me.” So there’s a baseline level of tools that you’ll need in order to do that job. And if you don’t have them or are not interested in building them up you really shouldn’t do that.
Figure Out What’s Holding You Back
I know here recently a lot of people have been interested in looking into the life coaching field and even though there’s no official certification or training for it, you’ll find a lot of places that will offer that.
And that’s all well and good, however, if you don’t really have a good grasp on your own growth and your own strengths and weaknesses, that’s kind of holding you back from helping other people out. You’ll need to find out enough about yourself before you can really help other people dive into themselves.
Become What You Want To Be
You have to have your end goals in mind: what you are working towards and why you are working towards it. Because a goal that is unattainable and really has no relevance in your life, will not motivate you, will not give you confidence, and will not be any type of reward when you get there, if you ever do get there.
You have to set things that you’re interested in getting and that are ecological for everyone around you, yourself, and the world in general.
Regain Control Over Your Life
And to sum all this up, if you really want to know how important your strengths or weaknesses are in your life, it’s because you need to use the right tools for the right job, you got to figure out what’s holding you back, and you got to become what you want to be. Discover your strengths and weaknesses today and start regaining control over your life.
