Time Management is the ability to effectively use one’s time most efficiently in the completion of tasks, errands, or jobs. The object is to consciously plan amounts of time per activity and waste as little time as possible while completing whatever you need to complete. Time Management is most often used to try to increase productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Time Management is a very effective tool when applied to a career. Time, being a limited resource, is very valuable. When you use your time most efficiently, you are completing a task in the least amount of time possible, which in turn makes more time to complete more tasks, assuming each task completed pays x amount of dollars, you can conceivably make more money by utilizing time management techniques. Your personal life can also benefit from time management techniques. If you set priorities and determine what is truly important to you, you can cut out frivolous activities and get more out of your life, making you feel fulfilled and accomplished as a human. A large amount of time management can be directly attributed to getting and staying organized!
Time Management has always been a personal bane to me, though i can see its benefits and sometimes accidentally reap rewards from it. Being in a large family growing up, my mom always had every second of my life planned out for me in an effort to keep her own life organized and her time managed. I think because of this i am more likely to float through life with as little structure as possible. However, when i DO choose to make something a priority, and manage my time accordingly around the goal i am trying to accomplish, i find that time management versus none, i am much more productive and more easily and less stressfully able to achieve my goal.

Time
- I cannot recall a proper response to this question. Life for me at the moment is rather uneventful. Passing time seems to be the most reasonable thing to explain. I often seek to pass time through any means possible. I usually do things on my computer to help me focus on things other than my outlook on life and expectations of the future.
- I was told I had to get something notarized so I drove to a notary who told me it wasn’t something that should be notarized but I couldn’t get ahold of my supervisor so I couldn’t get it done and had to drive back home, my time completely wasted. I don’t like driving and time wasting – especially for something I think is unnecessary in the first place.
- In the past few days I’ve had to come up with a story for a film project I had to do with very little time to do it in. It was frustrating because I felt I did not have enough time to do it with as much focus as I’d have liked, since I had other things going on that required my focus also.
- Life is constantly a rush… but not always in a good way. Its hard to find time to balance the various things you have to do in order to complete each task to the best of your ability. Often your social life suffers for the other obligations you have committed to. This is especially true if you have separate social circles. How does one find the time to form and maintain meaningful relationships with anyone, when that time is always rationed?
- One of the most frustrating things lately has been getting a lot of tasks to handle all at once, due in a short time within each other. It is frustrating having so much to do within a couple days. It’s overwhelming having these tasks to get through trying to find the time to get everything done.
- Organize my timing to: Spend time with my family, develop and solve my work and school tasks, keep in the basketball team as it is my hobby and I am compromised with my team, organize social events for my class, play football on Sundays, find the time to eat, sleep and still have fun… it’s just too much but I’m not a quitter.
- The most frustrating occurrence I had to face in the past few days was that I couldn’t manage my time well, leading to sloppy moments of ”hmm, what I should do now… oh well nothing here for me to do so I might as well go make most of my day useless,” but luckily I managed to get out of the chair, push aside the takis, and got myself some chocolate ice cream. Okay, that last part was fake, but I did managed to list out my to-do’s and now I am prepared until the next full moon. After that, repeat the whole process again.
- The most frustrating thing I have had to deal with at home is figuring out how to make time for all the things I would like to do and those things I need to do. Finding balance in my world of demands is quite challenging, particularly because I do not like to cut corners on what I do do. I am thorough and care about everything being done well. But my frustration comes from realizing that I have to be okay with accepting slightly less from myself in certain areas from time to time in order to make time for all the things I would like to.
- The most frustrating thing I’ve dealt with in the past few days are running on barely any sleep with a newborn, trying to prepare for my speech that was due today, and running all over town for appointments. This was frustrating because I had to balance my time very wisely to make sure to finish all my tasks on time and also make it to all my appointments on time also.
- The most frustrating thing I’ve had to do is organize my time so I could get everything done. I get overwhelmed having all of the tasks that I need to do just bouncing around in my head, so I need to write them down, but once they’re written down they look even more intimidating and I am anxious until I’ve budgeted out my time for them. Then I get frustrated because I feel I have no free time.
- The most fustrating thing I recently had is when I have to manage my time in order to review to all my subjects. It is fustrating because the solution to time management seemed unreachable that time and that I cant seem to fit all of my commitments in my tight schedule
- Trying to figure out how to spend my free time. I always have so much to do and a lot of the time I can’t figure out what I really need to get done first. It’s frustrating because it makes me confused and upset at myself, I always have to choose one thing that I really want to do but then I fear it’s not the best choice of action.
