Overcoming weaknesses is a very essential part of everyone’s life. Each person is born with some weakness; whether it is being physically weak, emotionally weak or cognitively weak. Depending on your weakness, there are several ways to overcome them, but one of the best ways is to be honest in identifying your faults and your strengths and playing to your strengths by choosing paths that highlight your strengths while downplaying (or even developing) your weaknesses.
Weaknesses can easily impact a person’s career and personal life; therefore, it is essential to overcome them in order to be successful and happy. For example, a person who is physically weak should choose a career that does not require physical activities on a daily basis; such as lumber yard worker or construction worker. A person who is emotionally weak may have issues making and maintaining friendships. They should overcome this in order to make meaningful relationships that will improve their own self-esteem and general happiness. A person who is cognitively weak should try to continue developing their cognitive abilities while working at a job that highlights some of their strengths. Overall, a person should be aware of their weaknesses so that they can choose career and personal pathways that don’t punish them for their weaknesses so that they can overcome them without too much stress or pressure.
My advice would be to find your strengths and weaknesses and choose how you are best able to deal with them. For example, some people have weaknesses that they do not even want to address, so they should pick things that highlight their strengths and overcome their weaknesses by ignoring them. Other people may have weaknesses that they cannot avoid, so they should slowly develop alternative skills for getting around that weakness. Other people may be forced suddenly to deal with their weaknesses head on, and they should seek professional help or employ the help of their friends to find ways to overcome those weaknesses.
