Enjoying work again can be mean finding joy in your work if you have previously been unhappy with it. It can also mean enjoying work after a long period of being of not working such as coming back from a layoff or retirement. This can also be associated with trying a new field or job when you’ve previous been working in a different field or job.
It is important to focus on the good things afforded by your job. One should strive to forget the past and try to focus on the present and future. You should also seek to improve the enjoyment of your job as best as possible. This can mean seeking out new projects or tasks that you enjoy.
It is important to remember why you are working and focus on that. I try to focus on the things my job affords me and be happy for those things even if the job is not to my liking. I seek out projects and tasks that I enjoy as often as possible and I try to think back to those tasks and reasons why I enjoy the job if I am currently not enjoying my work. I try to improve my overall mood so that I am happier to begin with. I try to eliminate outside stress as much as possible.

Enjoying Work Again
- Work out because I have more important things to do right now.
- Working outside in -40 degree weather for 40 hours in one week.
- Working someone else’s shift last minute because they wanted to go party.
- Working in an atmosphere where there is hostility and non appreciation of efforts
- Working long hours because I’m tired of my job. Its unorganized and really crappy.
- Work with someone who didn’t do much. I had to do most of the work.
- Work with someone how over analyses every thing, instead of getting in and just making it happen
- Working indoors it is frustrating because I do not like being inside on a hot summer day.
- Working on my strengths as I am frustrated with looking at things which I am good at. Cant see any at the moment
- Work with someone who makes promises but does not follow up on them. When someone makes a promise, I want to be able to rely on the truth of that promise.
- Working for nonprofit organization: I had to make phone calls to patients regarding donations. Frustrated because I did not feel like I had clear direction about what was to be communicated nor did I feel equipped to do so.
- I work with someone that suffers with a lot of depression. It’s difficult for me when someone can’t see past their immediate circumstances and let their emotions rule everything
- Do work that was supposed to be done by others because they lack perfection.

- Travel for work – when i travel i prefer to see new places, try new things… being stuck in a hotel is not my idea of a successful travel.
- I’ve had to work on my accounting portfolio because I’ve had to combine 2 years worth of information into 40 pages
- Deal with co-workers who were not willing to accept responsibility and resolve issues in their respective areas of responsibility.

- Getting prepared to take a Network+ certification. I didn’t feel that I had enough experience to pass the test. But as it turn out, I did have enough and I passed. It was a major confidence booster.
