Being a student is the path to a better salary, and a higher status is life. Many parents encourage education because they want their kids to be successful in worldly terms. However, education is really more than career training, and can lead to lifelong enrichment that means more than money.
MIT and many other elite schools encourage education for its own sake by offering online courses, from basic to quite advanced. These classes are completely free to all comers, and come with all the trappings, except for the tests and the degrees. For those who love knowledge for its own sake, online free education is an eye-opening opportunity.
Anyone can spend his or her life as a student, learning on the job and in everyday life. Everyone can be a teacher, too, putting his or her knowledge to use, and trading ideas with friends and family. Education need never end.

Being a Student
- Students that are not responsible enough to do their homework, or become responsible.
- Students shouting in class. frustrating because it was unproductive, interfered with lesson plan and was rude. Shows not listening.
- Grad student and don’t know yet who my advisor will be.
- As a student we are expected to act as adults but are not treated like one.
- Some students are not interested in accomplishing anything. They are not self motivated. Other than that I love my job.

- Help students remember an entire dance. It was frustrating because I made an age and level appropriate dance and did everything in my power to make them remember. Now I have my boss and a few dance moms mad at me.

- Getting students to believe in themselves. because students have so many barriers in their life they face.
- I ran for student government and I had to make posters and flyers and it was frustrating because I had to do it in a short period of time
- As an MBA student, I am navigating the challenges or working with difficult people. The dictator, or the idea thief who disagrees with your solutions, only to later try to claim them as their own. I also find it difficult to work with people who have a sharing adversity.

- Telling my students at work to clean up and keep their things together. It was frustrating because everyday they know what that they must clean their mess and to keep their belonging where they are so nothing goes missing.
- Grading my students papers at school. Trying to help someone and that person doesn’t want to be helped. You know the right path a person should take and you give the advice and talk and talk but the person does not care.
- Dealing with students in class that were overly talkative and directive with other students.

- Dealing with students who disobey or don’t understand–this is frustrating because I like control, I expect perfection, and I can’t understand what it would be like to struggle academically.

- Dealing with a student at work. The student would not listen to me, social workers, other students, or the assistant principal. That is what was frustrating.

- The system lacks consistency. This is very frustrating. I feel that we should be firm, fair and consistent with all of the students. Many of my coworkers and administration are not.
