Look into a mirror. What do you see? Pain? Joy? Sadness? Bewilderment? No matter what you see there is a reason for it. What is the reason? Some family gone? Dog dead? Yes, your sad, but family is like a band-aid on a wound. It heals, but sometimes hurts at the same time. Do you feel lost, lonely, BROKEN? Family walks with you through the steps of your life. In a way they go through the same things as you!
Sometimes you lose hope in your life, you have no family. But God is there, too! He is like a loving father. He is family.
Now you feel well again, but look around and see all the other broken people. You can help them out, too. Be their family when they have no one else. Help others, not just for niceness’ sake, but because YOU know how they feel. Welcome the broken, help them know the truth.
Now there are many that are better. All because of you (and maybe a few others)! Think of the change you can make. Surprising! You once were lost, broken, but now you’re making a difference, no matter how small. You’re the family to the lost and they are also your family. Be the family to those who do not have a family.
Jesus preformed many miracles for the poor; to the poor. He helped the blind, lame, mute, poor, and others. You can not perform miracles (unless God wills it), but you can still help. Jesus wishes for us to help his “sheep.” In his own words:
“As long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.”
(Matthew 24:40)
Think about it for a moment. Do you know what this means? It means that what you do for others is done unto God (your brethren are other people). This is a wonderful thing to follow. Do not be stuck up and decide you’re too high and mighty to help the poor. We were all made equal in His eyes.
We are called to be humble. Become what God is calling you to be, not what the people tell you to be. We get caught up with what we have on earth and we forget that we were not made for this world. God made us to know, love, and serve him and to live eternally in heaven with him.
Is it true? Of course, it is true! If God made it this way; we go according to His will. We can not get mad at Him for what He does. At the beginning of the world, God already existed. He has no beginning and no end. God had everything planned for the world and knew all that would happen. Even if something doesn’t seem right, we know it has a meaning because God willed it.
Now we expect what happens and when we are alone there is a reason. God must have allowed it because we were alone, but now we are not and so are many others thanks to us!
Thanks be to God for making us. When we wish for the worst, but later feel better we should thank God for letting us be in existence and letting us make a difference to all those around us.
