You’re looking to get a little bit more exposure, a little bit more success, a little bit more opportunity, or luck, as it were. And, you’re just not quite sure how to be in the right place at the right time. Or, maybe, it just seems like no matter what happens, you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time, or the right time, depending how you look at it.
And, really, the only way you can do this is if you increase your luck surface area. If you’ve got one little bitty feeler out there in the world, for instance, the internet world, that says, ‘Hey, my name’s Richard Stevenson. Come over here. Check me out.’Ã, And, there’s billions of people on the internet, searching around.

You’ve got a pretty hard chance of that happening. But, what if you put one little feeler out there, per day, for three years in a row? You’ve, all of the sudden, got a little over a thousand chances for someone to find you. Every day they are searching, every place they are looking for. It’s obvious that, the more feelers you’ve got out there, the more opportunities you have to be at the right place at the right time.
The same is true for the real world. If you are constantly just hold up in your house, at your desk, playing World of Warcraft all day, then your chances of being in the right place, at the right time, for presumably an opportunity for growth or success, goes down a lot. Yes, sure, I know you can meet people at games. I know a lot of famous people in games and what not.
But, I think that’s besides the point. If you spend an active amount of your day purposefully seeking out places that involve, or are related to, what you want to grow or be associated with in your life, then you will increase your chances of being at the right place, at the right time. It’s all a matter of statistics, or probability, whatever, a numbers game.
The more you are out there, the more your chances are increasing. There’s no magic formula, other than that. The only predictable thing about the unpredictable is to take more chances. I’m not a huge fan of the lotto, but I understand why people play. You don’t win if you don’t play.
Do you have a chance of winning if you do play? Yes. Is it small? Yes. Good old Wayne Gretski said, ‘You miss a hundred percent of the chances, or shots, that you don’t take. So, if you want to be in the right place, at the right time, you’ve got to get out there. You’ve got to expose yourself to more places. You’ve got to expose yourself to more time. You’ve got to have more opportunities to bring luck into your life, and it will just start happening more.
Not because some magical universal truth is happening in your life, but because you’ve opened up. You’ve entered the world. And, now you are just getting in the way of the arrows that someone is just shooting at the bulls-eye, in a non-death fashion.
Get out there. Get in front of what it is that you want to capture, and be a part of. And, it’s just a matter of time, dedicated effort and patience. You’ll be there. Keep on trying. Stay motivated, and for goodness sake, don’t give up! Have a good one, and peace, out.
