Who is this guy?

Here’s what somebody in the 3rd person had to say about me:

Richard N. Stephenson is the Mentor/Owner/Operator (MOO) of RichardStep: Self-Help to Live By. His work helps thousands of people discover more about themselves daily.  He has a history of project engineering for NASA, shaping multi-million dollar projects for oil & gas giants, and designing self-discovery tests on richardstep.com.

Richard spent the beginning of the new millennium fighting off cancer.  Having questioned all that could be questioned, he realized the good Lord wasn’t ready for him, yet.  Richard has made it his life’s goal to guide the growing, mentor the willing, and help those in need.

He lives near Houston, TX, with his extraordinary wife, adorable kids, and overgrown backyard.

I’m an Engineer by schooling, but a life-long learner by design. I just can’t get enough of the TONS of information that’s out there.  The way I see it – every book, movie, magazine, person, speech, star-in-the-sky has AT LEAST 1 bit of information… one hint, secret, or tip… that is there (again, by design!) to enhance life.

• I do the dirty work so you don’t have to.
• I’m the Cliff Notes (Sparks now?) to life.
• …the microwave for dinner (except for radiation… ewww).
• …the dishwasher for after dinner.

You get the idea. :)

I’ve been on a personal discovery journey since 2000 when I was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Thank the good Lord the doctors were wrong!

I have been gaining up the gumption to help people do what they were made to do ever since.  I’m still alive for a reason, dog gone it, and I gotta’ wanna’ do it for ya’ll!

What’s here for me?

Good question!  I do what I do here for you!  I like to:

• Turn loads of information into “aha moments”.  Like that.
• Be an architect of soft skills.  Building tools.
• Cook data and serve food for thought.  Smell that?  Yeah!
• Bring clarity of self to light.  Crystallize.
• Direct creativity from the brain stream.  Fish for ideas, ya’ll.
• Focus the light on the right of mind.  The might of insight!
• Be the geek to define identity.  Hittin’ books.
• Clear the path to personal growth.  Call me ‘weed-wacker’!
• Pearls of wisdom that someone else gave to me.  Momma told me to share!

Who’s he’s talking to anyway?

• Curious people who aren’t quite sure about their direction in life.
• Quest Seekers who need a little motivation.
• Adventurers who know what they want but aren’t quite sure how to get there.
• Champions who are looking for another tool to enhance the world.

What can we do?

Continue your quest to be the supreme awesome that I know you can be.  Your open-mindedness is what will propel you further in your journey… I’m just here to throw a couple of refreshing drinks of water on the run.  You are well underway and now is the time to give it that last little bit of *UMMFFF* to get you further.

The road never ends for our journey to success, growth, personal advancement, and ultimately understanding… understanding that which is most close and dear to most people… ourselves.  It isn’t until we understand ourselves better that we can begin to reach out and more effectively help those in need: the world, our family, our friends, and our future.
